How to DIY Candy-Filled Surprise Cake

I saw this picture on Pinterest and really loved this birthday cake idea. It’s a surprise cake that’s filled with all kinds of candies: jelly beans, Snickers, m&ms, lollipops and so on. After further searching on the web, I finally found the tutorial on A Subtle Revelry, a fantastic crafts and food blog. This surprise cake is kind of like the Pinata which is a decorated container that is filled with candies and then broken as a part of holiday celebration or for party fun. That’s why the author calls it a pinata cake. 🙂 What a creative cake idea for parties! I am sure everyone will love this candy-filled surprise cake, especially kids.
