DIY How to Freeze and Preserve Herbs for Future Use
I like herbs for cooking. I always like to add a few freshly chopped herbs for cooking: chicken, fish, beef, pasta and even vegetables. It would be great to have herbs available immediately even in colder seasons. I found this great kitchen tip to freeze and preserve herbs for future uses. The secret is using olive oil. Simply add the herbs and olive oil in ice cube trays. Put them in the freezer. When you need to use it, take one or two herb ice cubes out and pour in your cooking. If you have harvested a large crop of herbs, definitely try this method to save the best taste of herbs.
