DIY Colorful Satin Ribbon Tulips
There are many creative ways to make beautiful fabric flowers. Most of them involve folding and sewing the fabric to make a three-dimensional flower that can be used for hair accessories, brooch and other ornaments. I have featured a couple of these projects here on my site. If you are interested, you can search for them using the key word ribbon.
Today I am featuring a different way to make fabric flowers: the embroidery method. It’s kind of like a two-dimensional art. And here is a pictured tutorial on how to sew a bouquet of colorful satin ribbon tulips using embroidery method. It is so beautiful and vivid! You can put it in a picture frame and make a nice wall art or table decor. Or you can sew it on a decorative cushion. I’m sure you can come up with even more ideas to use it. Enjoy!
Here are the supplies you may need:
- Satin ribbons with your desired width;
- Embroidery needle;
- A piece of fabric to sew the flowers on;
- Push pins;
- Picture frame.
