DIY Beautiful Gift Box Decorated Like a Cake

At first glance, do you think it’s a cake? You are not alone. I had the same thought 🙂 It’s actually a gift box decorated like a cake! Isn’t that cool? I really like this super cute idea to decorate a simple container into a beautiful gift box that looks like a cake. Pack your gift inside and give the receiver a pleasant surprise. I am sure they will love your gift as well as this gift box. They can keep this gift box to use as a pretty storage box.

To make this beautiful gift box, you will need:

a round shaped container with lid, for example, a cookie box
felt: pink, white, red
white lace
polyester stuffing
white beads
double-sided tape
needle and thread

I love this idea! I really thought it was a cake!
I have a couple questions; with the white felt pieces, in what shape do you cut the felt out so that the sides fold up in the way shown? Same question for the red felt.
I’m itching to gather my supplies and start on this project! Thanks for the inspiration!

  For the white cream flowers, cut pieces of felt into flowers with 8 petals. Its size depends on your preference. Typically the diameter of the flower is 3 cm – 5 cm.
  
  For the red strawberries, cut pieces of felt into a circle, usually about 3 cm – 5 cm. Cut the circle in half and each half of the circle can be sewn into a strawberry.
