DIY Real Rainbow Roses

Fresh roses normally come in solid colors: red, yellow, pink etc. But have you seen multicolored roses like these? These roses are not painted, or artificial ones. They are in fact completely real and grown naturally using a technique developed by Peter van de Werken in 1993 in his botanical garden in Netherlands. It involves cutting off the rose, splitting the stem into several branches and dipping them into different colored dyes created from natural plant extracts. Sounds easy? But Peter has done a lot of experiments to make this happen. Thanks Peter for his hard work so that we can enjoy these beautiful rainbow roses.
