Paper flowers are popular decoration for holidays and parties because they can come in a variety of shapes and colors. The Japanese Kusudama is a paper model that is usually created by gluing multiple identical pyramidal units (usually stylized flowers folded from square paper) together to form a spherical shape. Here is a nice DIY project to make origami Kusudama ornaments for Christmas decoration. Instead of using typical origami paper, you can use dictionary pages, old newspaper or book pages to make these vintage paper ornaments. They look very pretty on the Christmas tree.
