“Trash to treasure” craft is one of my favorite types of DIY projects. I am always amazed by creative people and their skillful hands that can turn something we are going to trash/recycle into awesome things.
The famous Coca-Cola contour glass bottle was patented in 1915 by the Root Glass Company. How do you usually do with the empty glass bottles? Put them in the recycle bin or take them to the recycling center? But Kathleen Plate, a recycled glass artist and founder of Smart Glass Company, came up a unique idea!
Partnered with Chick-fil-A restaurant who tries to focus more on environmental friendliness and sustainability, Kathleen made chandeliers from Coca-Cola bottles to put in the restaurants. All the chandeliers are handmade and look beautiful and stunning. They really become one of the icons for the Chick-fil-A restaurant! Although this is not an average DIY project because it involves lots of glass work, it is such a great idea. What do you think? Follow the video and watch how Kathleen made these awesome creations!
