Concerned about the amount of drink packets that were consumed and discarded each day, Malaysian architect and designer Ed Chew presented this really creative idea to turn disposable drink packets into a beautiful and unique lampshade. By folding the drink packet strips into triangular tubes, and then fitting them into pentagonal and hexagonal clusters, he then joins the pieces together to form a unique lampshade. The lampshade can be sphere or or any other desired shapes. Of course, this project is not easy to achieve and requires a lot of time, patience and precision. But the idea is really cool and it shows an innovative example how to recycle everyday items into something useful and beautiful.
